When you fail to plan, you plan to fail.

Public and Government Affairs organization activity is vital to your organization, company, business and association’s well being and to the continued growth in the bottom line.  At The Trammell Group, we feel the public and government affairs information stream is made up of six (6) segments:    Community Relations, Public Affairs, Government Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Grassroots and Political Action Committee (PACs).

Community Relations is the process whereby a company, business or association gets involved in and relates to a community.  Public Affairs, or media relations, is the process of communicating your message to the public through news releases and information pieces.  Government Affairs is the process of developing and expanding relationships with elected officials while trying to protect the company from adverse legislation.  Regulatory Affairs is the process of working with the regulatory agencies on pending regulations and trying to influence them to change onerous provisions during the drafting and consideration process.  Grassroots Activity is the process of mobilizing a group of like-minded people to push for some type of resolution to their perceived problem.  Political Action Committees (PACs) are formed by special interest groups so that they can contribute to legislative candidates and political parties. Each of the six segments will be discussed more in depth in the coming pages.

A business or association that has the foresight to create and develop a public and government affairs department has determined that outside forces can and do have a potentially large impact on the bottom line. Over our years of service, we have seen that having an effective public and government affairs organization can protect against unforeseen impacts.  You may have some questions.  Give us the opportunity to give you some answers.  You will find that The Trammell Group has much to offer you.

Just ask us how.
