James M. Trammell, II career
currently spans over 10 years of government and private sector involvement
in Government Affairs, Public Affairs, Community Relations and Marketing.
Mr. Trammell graduated from Bridgeton Academy in 1982 and The Pennsylvania
State University in 1987. After graduation, he worked for the Pennsylvania
House of Representatives as a Legislative Research Analysts.
In 1991, Mr. Trammell was offered
and accepted the position of Government Affairs Representative with
Texaco/Star Enterprise. He reported directly to the Director of Public and
Government Affairs for Star Enterprise. He was responsible for lobbying
Star Enterprise’s position on pending legislation, managing the
activities of retained lobbyists on the federal level, as well as in 26
states plus the District of Columbia. He also was responsible for managing
Star Enterprise’s portion of Texaco’s Political Action Committee and
grassroots programs.
In 1994, Mr. Trammell requested a
transfer to Star Enterprise’s Marketing Department as a Marketing
Consultant. He was assigned to the Houston and San Antonio Marketing
District. He was responsible for determining gasoline sales volume,
convenience store product sales, determining expense and profit objectives
for Texaco locations in Houston and San Antonio, Texas.
In 1997, Mr. Trammell was offered
and accepted the position of Manager, State Public Affairs for
Pennsylvania Power and Light (PP&L). He represented the company before
the legislative and executive branches of state government. His
responsibilities included developing legislative contacts, legislative
monitoring, developing issues and positions, and liaison with external
groups such as The Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry, The
Pennsylvania Electric Association and The Pennsylvania Business
Roundtable.
Mr. Trammell served as a
volunteer for the YMCA’s Youth and Government Program. He is also an
active member in American League of Lobbyists.
